Ghosts

Jenny Bhatt With darkness And incessant clamoring I am made to feel apologetic, even foolish For being concerned with needs Beyond those of the flesh But like food, Light too Is a cry
of the cell Owing to a glass of floating reflections A mind numbed against reality Or a convoluted version of it Were they indispensable? Maybe. To question in futility Some answers acquired Some beyond reach in a lifetime Anxiety and Memory gone with them too
Jenny Bhatt is an artist, writer and cartoonist. She lives in Mumbai This copy is posted as it was received. It has not been edited by TLM
