Jenny Bhatt

After a long battle with the day

With darkness

And incessant clamoring

I am made to feel apologetic, even foolish

For being concerned with needs

Beyond those of the flesh

But like food,

Light too

Is a cry of the cell

A few brain cells died today

Owing to a glass of floating reflections

A mind numbed against reality

Or a convoluted version of it

Were they indispensable?

Maybe.

To question in futility

Some answers acquired

Some beyond reach in a lifetime

Anxiety and Memory gone with them too
